Two more days before his surgery. It's unreal how fast these 2 1/2 months have flown by. We've known since before he was born that this was coming, but it seems so sudden. I suppose it's one of those pros & cons things - we've loved every second of our time with him so far, but it's made it easy to slip into a false sense of security and convince ourselves that he's perfectly healthy. Now it's time to face it, and it feels like a surprise.congenital heart defect birth defects

Donovan "Nova" LeClair
Monroe, North Carolina
Nova was our second child to be born with congenital heart defects.
We lost our daughter at 12 days after open heart surgery in 2001. Nova was born 12/2/05,
with Pulmonary Atresia with VSD. He lived 6 weeks after surgery, and passed away on April 6th, 2006.
This blog is his story, and the on-going story of how our family is dealing with the loss of our beautiful boy.
