Not much more to add, except this:
He was asleep the whole time we were with him today. He needs the rest. He's still laboring to breathe, but not as badly. And by the way, we're not supposed to
know that he has pneumonia! When the cultures came back, one of the nurses who shall remain nameless at all costs, read them and translated them for us - told us he has pneumonia, then said, "But you don't know that because only a doctor can give you a diagnosis..."
We, of course, didn't see the doctor today.
